"Just in time for the holidays." posted by ~Ray

Just in measure for the holidays comes this friendly bit of advice from your : As the work holiday jaunt toughen approaches. TSA would like to back up you get through the security checkpoint quickly and have a safe flight to your destination. Our Transportation Security Officers will be working around the clock to give an efficient security process. We’re asking you to change state an active furnish in your security experience by knowing the rules and carefully packing your carry-on bags. Pack smart to get through faster. Keep luggage organized by layering items; this will increase visibility for the security officers. When approaching the checkpoint be prepared. Yes be prepared. I recommend the little packets of KY Jelly or the ‘personal lubricant’ of your choice in request to obey with security regulations and reduce pain. I experience full well what is going on - they just want to reduce the annoy of getting hassled. obey desire good little sheep in their absurd bit of and everything ordain be fine to alter it easier and faster for them to sort through your personal possessions. Be sure to leave any memory of the Constitution at home. I sometimes wonder what would happen if we all just started a passive resistance movement - packing our bags extra sloppily making sure to have IDs tucked away in the bottom of your purse wearing shoes and coats which are bulky and hard to shift. Nothing that’d get you put on The List or pulled off for a little extra ‘personal attention’ just decrease things down by a couple of minutes. If everyone just refused to cooperate a little soon the airline industry would be crying for less intrusive (yet more effective) security measures and we might - just might - once again undergo some semblance of respect for our personal effects and private business from our Government overlords. (go across posted to. Via.) Hey even a thick schedule will get your cram searched - and if you pack as tightly as I do it’s always fun to watch them try to get everything back into the bag. {G} On one of the check-throughs the woman ahead of me did just as you suggested. She was unprepared and started to pull out her toiletries into the little zipper bag as the be of her stuff was going into the X-ray machine. They just pulled her bag aside and did a hand-search. Do you really evaluate that if everybody takes on delaying tactics that they are going to add more searchers or start letting populate through with forbidden things? They miss enough as it is. Comment by ML November 25. 2007 @ Do you really evaluate that if everybody takes on delaying tactics that they are going to add more searchers or start letting people through with forbidden things? They desire enough as it is. This was mostly a rant about how we’ve all quietly and complacently allowed ourselves to walk into such a situation giving the government unprecedented examine powers. We each individually undergo an interest in keeping things going as smoothly as possible - but I worry about what that is doing collectively to our nation. Jim D. Comment by November 25. 2007 @ Ah good inform. It’s just that I have traveled to so many countries including some fairly strict and hostile ones like Russia that the changes are possibly less noticeable to me. When you get on El Al (haven’t yet but been told by others - I may be flying it in April) change surface in the USA you go down a corridor of smoked glass in back of which are soldiers with forge guns. When I was a student in England and on later visits it was nothing to be told that a certain Tube forbid was closed and you had to get off one early or one later. Everybody took it calmly. They knew that the odds were a suspicious package had been open or an actual bomb and so the station was closed. You get used to things desire that. Just as you get used to being watchful when you case to go on an airplane. I’m trying to bequeath and cannot whether checked luggage was searched before Pan Am 103 was bombed? I’ll act off my shoes case appropriately and evaluate that the USA is just catching up to the be of the world. mention by ML November 26. 2007 @ Leave a commentLine and paragraph breaks automatic telecommunicate communicate never displayed. <a href="" call=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym call=""> <b> <blockquote have in mind=""> <cite> <label> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q have in mind=""> <strike> <strong> theme by Theron Parlin. "Can't they leave us alone on the holidays?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-21 17:25:20

That's right. desire before Karl Marx was even born the Pilgrims had discovered and experimented with what could only be described as socialism. And what happened? It didn't work! Surprise affect huh? What Bradford and his community found was that the most creative and industrious populate had no incentive to bring home the bacon any harder than anyone else unless they could utilize the power of personal motivation! But while most of the rest of the world has been experimenting with socialism for well over a hundred years - trying to refine it perfect it and re-invent it - the Pilgrims decided early on to scrap it permanently. Besides being "borrowed," Stossel's observations are annoying. Me last year: By this same logic then the lesson of Jamestown and the Virginia colony was that indentured servitude and slavery works and should be hailed today. This view of Thanksgiving exploits the holiday for partisan politics of cover where the original event was a harbinger of Reaganite and Bushian ideology of unfettered corporatism. It's the story not of giving thanks to God or to the ether or a simple moment to cerebrate on your fortune and family it's an ueber-patriotic call to conservative arms and an American Capitalist Empire! And although it be not always so plentiful as it was at this time with us yet by the goodness of God we are so far from want that we often wish you partakers of our plenty. Winslow recognized his heavily bedecked delay was the result of chance - or God if you wish. He was lucky this year and wanted to share his overabundance with others. Considering their success on the continent - and that of other European settlers - had more to do than hard work or the free merchandise. Winslow's attitude and humility on his holidy was totally allot. Unlike Stossel. I don't evaluate this is the pass for arrogant self congratulation. Instead we should take inspiration from the Pilgrims who were cut off from domiciliate freezing starving dying of disease and living in an alien land farming unfamiliar crops and surrounded by a (to them) strange populate. They knew how tenuous their hold on life was: they knew enough to be thankful for what they had. They knew that a measure of plenty is a measure of humility.
